Great surf and turf special. Plenty of food. Large salad. We were not greeted by the waiter when we first were seated. We had to ask for a drink. He never ask about us wanting another drink. We were served by two other people and he just ask us about our meal as he was serving another table. He never offer us coffee.
We had a very nice meal. Presentation, quality and ambiance were excellent.
Hostess who seated us was not very pleasant or professional I would expect a little more from a restaurant of this caliper. We were greeted almost immediately by our server who was very pleasant, we were given water and after a short wait our drinks arrive. After we were given time to enjoy our drinks we were as if we wanted any appetizers we declined and ordered our salads and meals and sides. The salads arrived with fresh bread and butter both were very good. The main meals came out and looked as good as they tasted both o... read more
Our server did not bring any spoons to serve the sauces and side dishes.
We went 1 month prior to this visit and that was perfect. This visit the food was good but nowhere near as good as it was one month prior. I am not sure if they got a new cook but there was definitely a difference in the food.
We have not been here in 6 months. They have revamped the interior and took most of the TVs off the wall and added new seating in the back. The ambiance is more like a nice steak house. Food was very good and the prices have been reduced a bit which was a nice surprise. LBV is an excellent steak house, however, the wine prices are still unreasonable. We do not mind paying for good wine but most of them were marked up at least 200% if not more.
My wife and I ate here for my birthday. I had read about it online and a friend had also recommended it to us. Really interesting menu. I had the sampling menu, which was a good way to try small portions of several things. I also had the fries beets, which I had heard about. Everything was great. My wife had fried olives, the swordfish, and two sides, also all great. One thing I keep coming back to was the s'more pie desert. A reimagined version of an American Classic. We both enjoyed it.
Went for birthday dinner, which restaurant was aware of because hostess extended birthday greeting upon arrival and again when leaving. Had rack of lamb and beef wellington. Both were excellent and generous portions. And desserts were outstanding. The carrot cake was the best I have ever had (and I get it everywhere) and the largest serving I have ever had!! I would go back to the restaurant just for this cake. Ate it all! On the little disappointed side, I must admit a candle put in the cake would have been a nice gesture. ... read more
This restaurant has undergone a number of transformations. Recently the space has been better configured, and the decor, especially the artwork, is less distracting than it once was. The modified menu is still excellent. Great steaks. Great mashed potato dishes. Great cheesecake. I miss the baked sweet potato, and I would have like the tryout of a dessert sample platter that included chocolate-covered strawberries to become permanent -- especially the strawberries.
