Overall my date and I had a really nice time. We both enjoyed our meals and the serviced .
Our waiter, Phil, was very attentive and accommodating. He did a good job. My husband & I ordered the appetizer for 2. Excellent. I ordered a garden salad and we split it. Very fresh. The bread with dipping oil was also excellent. At this point, we were full. We took most of our dinner home for lunch the next day. Our dining companions had the lobster bisque, mozzarella appetizer and dinners. They seemed to enjoy all they had.
Well worth the price. The petite filet and 14oz sirloin were melt in your mouth yummy. Megan was an excellent waitress.
The new emphasis on the Italian dishes from the Carano family involvement have added greatly to the menu. In the past I've gone there for prime steak on special occasions. That's still the thing to do, but no one in our group of six ordered steak. From pasta dishes to the flounder special we each had praise for what we had ordered. And the pricing was quite reasonable. More frequent visits are in our future!
Have had wonderful meals at the "new" LBV over the last two months. Went off of my regular menu and ordered Chicken Parm. Did not like the sauce AT ALL. Too tomatoey and not to my liking. May have been a personal issue only.
I took my husband here for his birthday. The noise from the casino outside the restaurant was very distracting. In order to get to the restaurant we had to walk through the smoking section of the casino. The food was just average but the prices were high.
Food service and atmosphere was great the only thing missing was a spoon for our pasta
our steak did not have the grilled flavor it used to have. it was good & tender but not enough flavor for a rib eye steak
I did visit the restaurant when it was La Bonne Vie, once. That experience was a good but expensive one. My recent visit, under the new restaurant name LBV Steak and Pasta, was also good, but more in a reasonable price range. The service was attentive but not fawning, the food was fresh and tasty, and there was plenty of it. One thing of note: the lighting is still pretty dim - so if you need to actually see your food to enjoy it, bring a flashlight. And it is still inside a casino.
