Deceptive styled marketing for color plus single cartridge. Pictures can be deceiving. I made the mistake of ordering the color package and thinking for $13.00 more I was buying a black cartridge. In the attached picture the ink cartridge is covering up the color on the box. Visually I saw the black cartridge and made the wrong assumption that the cartridge with black. It is cyan. Did not work I've been buying Brother ink cartridges for my MFC-J870DW printer for years, at the office supply store. They're expensive, but they always work. I thought I'd try to save a few bucks by ordering these online. The printer would not recognize the cartridge. Waste of time. Back to the office supply store.

Printer sensor showing more than half empty magenta after ONE DAY and only a dozen printed pages... I received this ink yesterday (8/1/22) and installed the magenta ink because that color was out and the printer wouldn't let me print until I reloaded it, despite only needing to print in black. Missing release handle. When I purchase this ink from Staples there's always an orange release to turn and remove prior to replacing the cartridge however these did not have them so I'm thinking they are recycled.
Most than likely Refurbished Cartridges Cartridges did not print an IOTA of colored ink. I should have paid more attention to the cartridges not having the orange tab that come on all the new Brother printer cartridges that must be removed prior to use. I returned these for a replacement...if the replacements do not have the orange tabs to be removed those will be returned as well.
