Sunday brunch, extra hot/spicy vegetables and tofu with excellent brown rice. My server, the younger-appearing of two women I saw working, was pleasant and efficient. I'm glad I finally made it here.
Great food and service. Parking a little difficult but still worth it.
The food is a mixture of different Asian cuisines and the degree varies from dish to dish with authenticity. Some dishes have a Californian twist which I think is an injustice to the traditional dish. Depending on your server the degree of help you get with ordering can vary from amazing to no help at all. The portions are good and if your ordering family style, 1 dish per head is adequate. The wine list is reasonable. The corkage is steep.
Me and my wife went for Valentines dinner. Not worth the hundred dollars we paid. We were surprised how small the restaurant was way overcrowded, with way too many tables. For this space people bumped into our chairs multiple times. At the front desk they were giving higher prior to take out than the people that were right in front of them. Excellent food as always. Lighting was very bright during the first part of the dinner which was surprising during an evening sitting. Service was so so.
We shared the Tea Leaf Salad. whicj was as lovely and delish as always.
The quality of the three dishes had were exceptional. They were well prepared by the chef and well presented to the table by a server that was congenial and efficient. An excellent experience all around.
Rangoon Ruby is our go-to restaurant in San Carlos. We are always looking for interesting and plentiful vegetarian choices and Rangoon Ruby delivers this well. Service is always good and the ambiance is quiet enough for good conversation to take place around the table.
Excellent food and service as usual. My wife introduced me to this restaurant about two years ago. It’s become a regular dining thing for us , at least once per month as we really enjoy this place
