Tasty food, although "medium" spice actually means very little spice - don't be afraid to go for something hotter!
The food was OK. The restaurant was empty. Service was unfriendly and slow in an empty restaurant
It's always amazing at Rangoon Ruby! The staff is very nice and attentive and the food is incredible - very flavorful, just unlike anything I've ever had. Make reservations so you don't have to wait :)

The restaurant is in a nice, corner location with decent nearby parking. It wasn't too crowded for a Saturday night and they tables were nicely spaced apart. They were doing a robust take-out business. There was really only one server and host so it was a little slow: ordering, drink delivery, had to re-ask for water, but the food was pretty solid. Delicious food and excellent service. I've eaten here over the years and food is consistently good.
Nice little chain of Burmese food, all the usual staples are available, tasty, and the experience was great! Full disclosure... this review was written in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and you experience with the service and noise level may be different than ours. Having dinner with our god daughter, that we haven't seen in years... we were a bit slow getting things ordered. We always enjoy dining at Rangoon Ruby - San Carlos. The food is delicious and the service very good. The basil chilie white fish was excellent as was the bok Choi. Unfortunately the Samosa salad is not as good as it used to be. Some of the ingredients are missing. We have noticed this recently the last few times we ordered it. Also, earlier the server used to mention the ingredients while tossing the salad at the table - now it comes pre tossed. I hope Rangoon Ruby goes back to its original recipe.
Food was great. Overall a good experience for our family, including 4 kids, before we went to San Carlos lights!
