Dr. Davenport is AMAZING!! Very knowledgeable and kind. My 20 month old chocolate lab punctured the top of her back foot with a nail very deeply. Upon the puncture, she ran and ripped A LOT of skin and tissue off of her foot. You could almost see the bone! She required several stitches and a hefty amount of TLC that Dr. D was happy to give her. Dr Davenport literally brought my little baby back from deaths door. I was already preparing myself. I couldn't stop crying thinking he was dying and she not only did exactly what needed to be done to save him but she has been so amazing. I really do love our normal Vet Dr. Hunt. My dog has seen a few of the other vets on staff occasionally but I try to keep her care consistent with the same provider. What makes me change my previous 5 star rating to 3 star has nothing to do with the actual care that I receive. Overall 5 stars to the Vets, techs, and supporting staff who take messages and check us in and out. My lower star rating goes to the price mark ups. We went into Love Pet Hospital today for the worst of reasons, our 7 year old cat has been very sick for the last 6 months and took a turn for the worst. We had been to 3 different vets in Austin, as well as one in San Antonio before this visit to Love for Percival's final vet visit. We had tried so many things to get him feeling better and recovered but luck wasn't on his side. I really liked this place. Its not cramped for one and the techs are super nice. I really enjoyed Dr. Hunt! She was thorough, and I liked how soothing she was for my dog. I enjoyed how the office has an intake area and you exit another part of the building. I really hate when vet offices are cramped and packed in with pets with no room to walk. We recently moved to the neighborhood and were looking for a new vet. After reading the exceptional Yelp reviews, we went with Love Pet Hospital and Dr. Wisbrock exceeded our expectations. You really can see how passionate he is about his job and he he thoroughly explains what's going on with your animal in layman's terms. My husband and I now refuse to go to any other vet as he also is the first vet to help our cat out with her urinary issues/anxiety without telling us to just put her on "kitty xanax". Our 11 year old chihuahua has been seeing Dr. Davenport and we could not be happier. This was our second stop on a search for a vet after relocating to Austin. I was especially impressed with Dr. Davenport's rapport building with Jack during the first visit (she sat on the floor and loved on him during the whole exam). I have been taking my cats to Love since I moved to austin in 2009. My precious elderly cat had a lot of bladder and renal issues and all the vets here gave her exceptional care. In 2014 she started to go downhill fast and all of the doctors here pitched in to keep her alive and well. She was able to live two years longer than any of us expected and I'm forever grateful to them for this. Financially this did get tough for us but Love really helped and made her care affordable. I can't say enough wonderful things about Love Pet Hospital and especially Dr. Love. I've been looking for a long time for a vet that shared similar natural viewpoints on animal health care for my fur babies and I have definitely found the one. Our vet tech Jennifer was also amazing and warm and kind. The prices were wonderful. And the care that my 14.5 year old Weimaraner has received is heart warming.
