I took my poodle in for an initial visit this morning after a couple friends recommended Love Pet Hospital. I was impressed with every aspect of the office, the staff, Dr. Wisbrock, and their checkin/checkout process. It was super clear that it's a professional, efficient, and positively run clinic. I can't believe I've never written a review of Love Pet Hospital considering how much money our little family has given to them over the past year! At some point or another, we've seen every vet at Love multiple times. From Davenport to Wisbrock to Huckabee, they're all amazing, kind, wonderful people. The staff knows us by name now. My dog Toby is almost 12 years and has a heart condition, seizure disorder and arthritis. His arthritis causes his hind legs to slide out from under him on my wood floors. Dr. Davenport came highly recommended to treat Toby with Acupuncture and Chiropractic. I have been taking him here since last November. Ive recently started taking our 11.5 old daughter, Star, to Love for acupuncture and chiropractic. She has 2 full knee replacements and the beginnings of some pretty crappy arthritis in her front legs. I'm super impressed by the care Doctor Davenport and the vet tech (who's unusual name escapes me) put into her Star and her various issues associated with aging. This is THE vet to use! I went there because of the yelp reviews, because it was close to my house and who can resist going to see someone named Dr. Love! I adopted two old cats in poor health because I couldn't stand the thought that they would probably be put down. The staff at Love Pet hospital were so nice and thanked me profusely for taking on these two cats. They made me feel comfortable. They practice GOOD medicine! In pet care, as in human care, the quality of care can vary, but here - they are trustworthy, compassionate, and knowledgeable! I have been a client of Dr. Love and Dr. Wisbrock since 2000. They practice a holistic approach to care, a combination of Western medicine and diagnostics, with acupuncture, chiropractic therapy, and Chinese herbal medicine. I actually sought out Love Pet Hospital based on Yelp reviews, and as usual they did me right! I LOVE LPH! As a first-time dog owner, getting a tiny 6-week-old, 9lb Great Dane puppy was about as intimidating as it got for me. First stop was LPH to get her checked out and up to date on shots. This is not my regular vet, but it may be soon. I recently had an emergency situation with one of my foster pups. There was no time to get to APA or my regular very and these guys are around the corner. We were treated with such compassion here I felt compelled to yelp about it. Everyone from reception to technicians and doctors where overwhelming kind in a difficult situation. A special huge thank to Shawna who rode with us and an oxygen tank to another hospital.
