Really nice restaurant much nicer than I expected, prices are good too. we will be going back for sure. I got the veal , it was unbelievable, and the tiramisu was amazing. We went with a group and the service was great.
Outstanding Happy Hour and drinks. Luce has a very nice outdoor dining/social area with a large fireplace. It's a good place to meet after work for a drink and excellent appetizers. I wasn't crazy about the Veal Milanese I ordered. It had no flavor and the potatoes also weren't that good. The Salmon was very good. Not San Antonio's best Italian, but not a bad place to gather and have some fun.
The Aracini di Riso are outstanding.
They were so kind to my elderly father, finding him cushions to pad his chair! The food was excellent, service great. We will definitely go again and again.
We have been going to Luce since it opened. The wine dinners are a gourmet pleasure that one rarely experiences. And then there is the owner and chef Joe who shares his mother's recipes and adds his own touch to others.

Perfect ambiance, noise volume, lighting. Food always fantastic (I normally go for whatever seafood is the special). Salads are fresh and delicious. Service is USUALLY fantastic - something that keeps me coming back frequently. However, the last time I came in, the server seemed miserable. My best friend and I dined at Luce as a treat to ourselves to celebrate the upcoming marathon. The staff were very polite and welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable about the food offering assistance with our wine choice and comments re: food. The restaurant had great atmosphere- quiet and delightfully decorated. The food was terrific- great tasting risotta, fish, dessert. Luce met all our perceptions of food and good dining.
Luce is our favorite restaurant of any type in San Antonio. The food is carefully prepared and pleasingly different from the "normal" Italian Food venues. The wine list is not pretentious, but has enough variety to suit the pickiest Oenophile. The service is attentive without being annoying. They take your order, serve it correctly and promptly, check to see if everything is to your liking, and bring the bill when you are ready. Just great hospitality in a lovely ambiance.
