If you're looking for great tasting REAL Italian food, then Luce is your kind of place. Do yourself a favor and get the italian rice balls. I haven't had these since I lived in NY...Oh My God...they're sooo good. I always had them with marinara....Luce serves them with their meat sauce......that's the way to go for sure. Or have them bring them naked and a side of each sauce and you decide. The wait staff is very accomodating and really look to make you happy.
the food was great, the service at the table was great, but the service at the bar was terrible. The bartender did her best, but she was absolutely overwhelmed with the bar and tables - only one bartender. Hope they re-think that! Other than that, no complaint, and I will definitely return!
Very good Italian food. We were disappointed in our service and the owner/chef came out and addressed the issue. I think they are gaining poplularity and the team wasn't quite ready to handle the crowd. That problem is easy to fix and you will be pleased with the food, wine and setting. I ordered an off the menu vegetable risotto and the chef welcomed the challenge and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Always great. The wine dinners are interesting due to the wines featured and the creative dishes not regularly on the menu. Keep it up Joe!!!!

When I am in San Antonio for business, and need a break from steak, bbq and Tex-Mex, I head to Luce's for a good glass of wine and the kind of menu I have to read several times because it's hard to choose. I often make a meal of a salad and an app or two, and this doesn't faze the staff. Very relaxed and pleasant, with good quality and attention to both taste and presentation.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and the food and service was awesome. They made it feel more like we were with family than at a restaurant.
