I have been to Luce's several times since moving to the area and am impressed with the quality, authenticitiy, and consistency of the food. Growing up in an Italian family where my mother and her siblings would compete for the best "Sunday Gravy", i came to appreciate good italian cooking. Luce's is the real deal. Good food and good service; a bit noisy for private conversation.
I enjoyed a wonderful business luncheon at Luce this week. It is one of the few area restaurants where you can have a discussion across the table without shouting. The food and service are outstanding , and the ambience is classy without being stuffy. My wife and I have enjoyed several dinners here, but I plan to schedule more of my lunch meetings here, too.
A very cozy place for a romantic dinner occasion. The wine list and price will fit any pocket book. European atmosphere and food quality are outstanding. The pan seared scallops that I had were cooked to perfection. My wife loved the OssoBuco. The Cannoli and Tiramisu finished off the dinner. Service was on there game and the manager greeted us as we entered with our reservation.
I dine at Luce often and love the menu, the wine, and the atmosphere. (But the Minestrone needs some seasoning - should be tasted before serving)
We love the delicious variety of apps! Favorites this visit were the sausage pinswheel,shrimp (sauce to die for!),seafood salad and eggplant. Pizzas are good, but "spicy" red pepper/sausage one overseasoned.Scallop entree DELISH! Love how the chef is willing to change sauces and prepare dishes to order. Meal would have been perfect but service was very slow and ineffecient this visit.
Loved the patio although I thought the music was a bit overbearing tonight. Riceballs ROCK
The service and food served where of exceptional high quality.
We had the Osso bucco and the halibut and it was fabulous! Will go again!
