Wine was on sale from $65 to $40, but in reality it was only a $14 retail bottle - not a good deal The arugula salad was wilted and not fresh tasting The seafood pasta dish was heavy on the tomato sauce and lacking on the white wine and flavor The halibut was cooked well, but the dish lacked flavor, very bland

Had the seafood pasta, gluten free ravioli and seafood salad. Seafood was previously frozen and over cooked. The seafood pasta was buried in an overly spicy tomato sauce that tasted like straight from a can. The Frutti Di Mare salad had no taste, thank god it came with a lemon. The ravioli came in a thin watery white wine sauce. We were visiting from out of town and picked this restaurant based on good reviews and menu selection. Had reservations for 6:30 and we were seating promptly. The waitress was in a hurry for our order. We ordered a bottle of wine and she eventually came back and said they were out so we ordered a different one. We placed our order and got our salads. The Parmesan crisps were tough, not crisp. No bread. We eventually had to get another waitress to bring us bread. It came with our main course. The food was cold and the sauce looked like milk it was so thin. The bread was not hot either. First time at Luce. Restaurant was noisy. Need better sound barrier above in ceiling. We were seated right away with a reservation by the open kitchen area. We were lucky, we got the new waitress. Ha. We asked about wine Wednesday special. Didn’t know much about wine so we chose a bottle on the list. Apparently All the wine bottles were not half price as advertised. Asked for bottle. This restaurant used to be one of my favorites but recently the food and service has gone downhill. There’s nothing wrong with mediocre Italian food except when you’re paying $20+ a plate. Switch out your chef and get back to caring about the details

We had New Year’s Eve dinner here and I would classify it as average. We were seated at a table near a “secret” door which appeared to be an office and people kept going in and coming out. Every time they went by we had to move because the table is immediately in front of this door. We requested to move and they moved us to another table; all was fine until a waiter came to grab a bottle of wine that was immediately above our table and this happened twice until a manager came and grabbed several bottles of wine. Decent value; very inconsistent. Soup appetizer seemed it was canned Campbell's. Ordered 2 filets medium rare. One was medium well, the other was extremely rare and bloody. Despite poor consistency flavors were good. Some redeeming factors: lobster was prepared perfectly and dessert was superb. Overall not worth revisiting.

I don't know if it was just an off night or if there is new management and a new chef on board but the food was terrible. I've eaten there before and it was quite nice. I ordered a soup and salad that night. The salad was ok but nothing memorable but the soup was inedible. Pasta and fagioli "soup" was pasta swimming in tomato sauce that tasted exactly like plain tomato sauce straight out of a can. I sent it back.
