We drove from Houston to San Antonio to dine at Luce Ristorante E Enoteca because a friend recommend this restaurant. The salad I ordered did not have the ingredients listed, neither did the gnocchi dish. The lemon sorbetto was a frozen lemon which was not even edible! The martinis were small, watered down and served in a warm glass. Yuk! The saving grace was that our waitress was very nice.
After being seated waited 15 minutes but no waiter/waitress came to acknowledge us. We asked the hostess twice for help, but it never came. Left without eating.
Was looking forward to a romantic Valentine's but all the tables were put sooo close together. Plus the noise level was loud. Waiter was ok but not very friendly. My wife and I both got salmon. Her portion was about half the size of mine. Was expecting a little more.
Had reservation, got sat at bar for about an hour. Finally got seated, then waited about 30 mins for waitress to take order, then another 45 mins for food. Food was not hot, barely warm! Table next too us waited even longer. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, over priced, horrible service!
The Service: Once the waiter found out we did not drink wine, the service went from decent to bad. While looking around the restaurant, we noticed he was very attenttive to only the tables with bottles of wine. Our server, when it came to our table, was slow, did not get our order correct and stood behind my wife while she was signing the receipt. The Food: The food was either way over or way under seasoned. The risotto had the consistency of mashed potatoes and tasteless. The calamari was very greasy and tastless. There are... read more
This place was pricey yet almost everything was underseasoned. And it's one of those pretentious places that doesn't have salt on the table. The waitress was quite abrupt and couldn't answer any questions about the wine. The decor was straight out of the 90s. Avoid.
The Red Sauce that accompanied the Calamari had no flavor, the butters that came with bread were all terrible. Finally? The Creme Brûlée had very little hard shell on top!?(the dark brown candied shell?) it had very little, mainly just Creme.
I had heard good things about the place.....but was disappointed. menu too broad....service poor......wines.....well very high priced and they poor a weak glass of wine. I was appalled at the amount poured and price $9 retail wines at $60/bottle. Lost me forever. Good luck.
We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The water was nice. The food however was not up to par. It was cold. The flavor was ok but not the best. We spent around 100 for the evening and it was not worth it. If you want to eat at a nice restaurant go somewhere else.
