I wish I had been to Madison Reed sooner. Despite seeing the Hair Color Bar in my neighborhood, I continued going to my regular hair salon. The moment I tried Madison Reed, I never went back to the salon. Not only is the hair color amazing but the fact that it's gentle on the hair is what I love the most. My hair is naturally a brown/red shade. I prefer jet black. I was recommended Pescara Black (2NNA). Color is odorless and leaves my otherwise dry hair feeling soft and very shiny. I have sensitive skin and this color doesn't bother me like other color lines have. Will continue to use this shade.

This is my second time in this salon. I had a good experience the first time but this time it was disappointing. I have curly hair and the colorist didn't even brush my hair to apply the color properly. She rushed and then applied the toner. My hair has become darker at the ends when I actually had highlights. When I was done with the wash a whole bunch of tangled got pulled since the colorist didn't brush May hair. So lost a lot of hair. I am really disappointed this time. Spend $120 for nothing.

Terrible experience. First I showed up to my appointment at 6:00pm last week on Thursday for root touch up.. Instead they covered all my hair erasing the highlights they did on October 4. 2025. Also I showed up on time and I asked to go to the bathroom and she told me that no the she had to leave and I had to wait for to started and I could go to the bathroom. They are terrible.... Staff told me color I picked was too light for home kit, so hot lighter shade. Big mistake, color wasn't right after I applied the color kit at home. They also screwed up the timing of a service I had scheduled for an in store appointment so I totally wasted my time going into get the service because 'they may not have the time.' No regard for my time or schedule i rearranged for that day to have the appointment. Save yourself the hassle and bad hair color and go somewhere else. I'd give it a negative 1... read more

Pro member is a scam/ joke, I am a pro member with unlimited roots touch up service. I am going on vacation to Europe and will be back in 3 weeks or more. I asked if I can take a home kit so I can do it while being on vacation. I was told I can't. because it has to be in the next billing cycle. So basically I can go for roots every week but cant get a home kit in 3 weeks???? What kind of stupidity is that??? The staff is not able to explain because it doesnt make any sense. This company is a farud as per me.

Worst hair salon ever. Went for a hair coloring, first red flag-place was empty... on a Monday... second, three employees yet only one doing hair and also happened to be the receptionist as well. Couldn't speak any English, had me take my hair out (I have kinky curly hair that was in BRAIDS) then had me get up to pick out a color when I included the color in my appointment notes... all this for her to then tell me that she wouldn't be able to do my hair that it was only a consultation but said nothing about it being a consul... read more
