This place just wasn't for me. Reminded me of a beauty school you go to for a discount. My hair came out a little darker than I wanted but no biggie. The blow dry was basic indeed. If you have curly hair don't expect much. I feel like I went in with health hair and left with dry ends looking split. Considering I had a cut 4 weeks prior my ends should not have looked like that, so I don't know if the blow dry did it. Not a good experience. The color they or doesn't cover grays not sure what the point of paying so much to get color and it doesn't even work.

I am a member so I've visited this color bar numerous times. It's near my home so it's convenient but their customer service is terrible. I booked my appointment via the app for 9:15am. I walk up to the salon at 9 and the door was locked. Ok fine, I'm 15 minutes early so I decided to wait. But I noticed their hours on the door say they open at 10am so I texted the salon and asked if that was accurate. i'm very disappointed by the horrible customer service. while washing hair, they are so harsh on the scalp, and should rather be gentle. Also they do not care to clean the white cream they put over the overhead and I did all the cleaning myself. Also, post wash, they wrapped my hair in a small toilet towel which quickly got soaked in my trenched hair. i needed another towel to dab the water dripping from my hair, but not a single staff member was around, as they were all in the staff room. I had my appointment today, and usually everyone there is very friendly, but today was not the case. My stylist looked like she was in a bad mood. She started my application without putting protective cream around the perimeter of my hair, and also did not offer me a drink. First bit of advice is blondes beware! I actually went to the Oakbrook Madison Reed for the first time right before Christmas (Dec 2023). I have thought about leaving a review for a long time but always decide not to, but I have been dealing with bad color for 5 months now and I'm so unhappy. Overall a horrible experience! The staff were so rude and so mean to my daughter. I took my daughter there then got mad because she wasn't over 18. The website never said she had to be over 18! My daughter was super excited to get her hair done and was let down. Never go there!!!!
