Good when it first opened and it's been downhill ever since. Not generally a complainer, buy once you become s member, the major perk is frustration. After 2 years, it's time to move on.

I went for roots and highlights they ruined my hair. Put foils up to my roots and left chemicals on for over 2 hours as the girl kept taking care of checking in and taking payment for customers. My blonde highlighted hair came bright yellow and after the toner charcoal gray. Now I am stuck with breakage and dull awful hair until I wait to get somewhat conditioned before I can do anything to RE color. Color fades really orange /warm and leaves the hair dry and brittle over time! This is a glorified box color!! I have been doing the MR color for a year now and my hair has never felt this bad! I did some research and talked to a lot of people that tried this color. The first few times are great but just like any drugstore products they leave a film over the hair and in time it eats away at the cuticle and drys your hair and damages it! I have never left a negative review in my life, but after spending 7 hours at the salon for simply a root touch up and a partial highlight and still having to pay full price, I feel the need to. The colorist blamed me on picking a blonde shade that turned my hair red. I walked in the next day as I was upset with my results and was barely acknowledged. They fixed it slightly, but it is still not what I wanted and the experience was 7 hours and $240 I will never get back. Very upset.

UPDATE: You replied to my review and said you didnt have a record of me. I literally received 2 separate emails to provide feedback for my visit AND a receipt. How do you not know I was there? I will be calling the salon directly, as my 2 emails for feedback were completely ignored. What a trash "Business" if thats what you would even call it. at least own up and be honest what a scam. Take a look at what came out of brushing my hair when I got home. WTF?

Keeps responding to bad reviews saying they don't recognize the name just so that it seems like the bad reviews are spam or not real. They are very real, and the owner is too lazy to write a thoughtful response that holds their staff accountable. I know for certain that the review beneath mine was written by a real person, who took a photo with the Madison Reed smock on, that had a bad experience. If you want fustration and aggravation, then Madison Reed is your salon! Twice they overbooked me. So I had to go home and wasted my time. The other time I had a long wait. I asked the manager to call me and she never did. No apologies or word from the manager when I asked her to call me. I was on hold twice for 2 hours. The color and products are mediocore. Nothing special. I paid a lot of money to fix it to a good hair color afterwards. So if you want to test your patience, then call Madison Reed for sure!

Firstly, this review is not based on the any of the ladies who work at the Oakbrook salon, except for one shampoo girl who nearly ripped my hair off my scalp. She shampooed my hair and then proceeded to try to detangle it by literally tearing through all the knots with a brush. In hind sight I should have said something.
