The food was awful. No taste whatsoever. I had the seabass, which tasted like plastic. My friend had the steak, which was over cooked to his liking and the texture of rubber. However, the service was fantastic. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and had a very energetic personality. I won't be dining here again because of the food.
All of our food was cold when we got it. They forgot to bring out our dinner salads before the food came as well as the bread and oil, which we got about 20 minutes after sitting there and our food two minutes after. We were celebrating my graduation from college and it was a huge letdown for such a special occasion.
The food portion was very minimal for the price. In addition, the food was not what I expected for the price. However, it is a nice atmosphere and seating in the windowed porch area is very nice.
I think I'm done with Gilmore Collection restaurants. I go in excited that they have gluten free options, but I always leave frustrated because the options are just not interesting to me. I had the pork this time and while the flavor combination was good, the meat itself was really tough. It is also frustrating to me that they bring bread out but haven't thought to make anything available for the GF diner. Rice crackers and some dip would at least be an improvement. I sent a letter to your GM expressing displeasure on: (1) Crowded seating facilitated by your staff (putting seven people at the table next to us without regard for the four of us); (2) Correcting our problem by putting us further in the aisle; (Serving us Sea Bass that wasn't Sea Bass and tasted and smelled "fishy"; and (3) Overall service that was slow with mistakes in getting our credit card payment paperwork back to us when bring the credit card back. I was unable to book a table after 4:15, yet when arrived, the restaurant was almost completely empty and when we left there was one whole section that was still unused.
Previous two experiences at this restaurant were very good. Poor service this time around and disappointed with the small size of my entree (dinner salad $9). Very slow in respect to receiving the desert which I was ready to cancel due to the length of time. Felt the waitress was focusing on the bigger tables to the detriment of service to us.
Pasta soggy. Steak burnt and well done instead of med rare. No bread. Salmon dry. High prices. A poor job - third time there, won't go again.
We were very disappointed in our dinner. The service was horrible. It took forever for our first drinks to arrive. Our appetizer arrived before the drinks! The waitress was inattentive to us and we had to flag her down for more drinks, etc... My husband ordered a salad, and I a cup of soup, in addition to our meals. These came at the same time as the dinner. Not enough room on the table. A lame apology from our waitress. Food was average at best. We would never go back. (Two tables next to us also complained.)
