Mangiamo has always been a pleasant dining experience for us, but due to poor service and just okay food, not sure we will be back.
So disappointed in service for a intimate Birthday dinner. Portion of my meal was extremely disappointing I ordered the Fall squash Ravioli and only received 3 ravioli! $140 bill was not happy and we have dined there several times. Waiting 15 minutes for a glass of Vino. Service was not great.
I had wanted to dine at Mangiamos for a long time, I figured it was in a great location and appeared to have endless charm from the outside. I made reservations for Valentines Day, hoping to impress my boyfriend. We walked in and I was under a spell. It was beautiful and romantic. All of our meals were grossly under salted. I had overcooked pasta. Not sure why so many people were there because the food quality was terrible especially for a 78.00 meal and we didn't have drinks.
Haven't eaten here in a couple years because I felt the food and service was subpar. Heard there was a new chef so I made a reservation because I had a birthday offer. One meal was outstanding, roasted brussels sprouts and a risotto. The other meal was awful, filet mignon. The filet was ordered medium but was served rare and the entire plate was cold (asparagus, potatoes. Even with the discount, the tab was close to $100 for 2 people. I won't waste my time and money here again.
After being seated on the cold & drafty front porch, we waited 11 minutes for our server to first greet us & take our drink order. The pork tenderloin & duck themselves were cooked very well, but not accompanied well with the raw veggies and potatoes. Highly overpriced for what you get especially since they can't seem to cook all the food. Sweet looking old house, but you have to fill the building with something better.
I booked a reservation for my husband and myself, through an ad I had emailed to me from your company. It said book late and receive 20% off entire bill and a free desert, as well as wine specials. So I booked late, we did not receive 20% off and no free desert(we paid for it). When I asked about the wine only two choices were offered. Been pleased in the past. This experience not good. Service was marginal and the food was mediocre. Appetizers were not very good and the salad was ok
My mom and I ordered the most expensive things on the menu, whitefish 30$ and filet mignon 34$. I have food allergies they said they could accomodate. When the food came it looked terrible. The vegetables were boiled without salt or spices. The steak was gray in the middle not pink for medium rare. The waitress told me they made a sauce for me and I poured it over my steak, turns out I was allergic to the sauce and it was supposed to be for my mother.
