It seemed like to many people were telling us to send this document and that document. Then they would say they didn’t get it or they needed an updated document. It would have been nice to deal with one person in charge of our loan and not two or three different people and organizations.

Well, just that some items were not specific to our application... such as in some communications to us it stated that we needed to clarify our home mortgage that we owned in Kentucky... we don't have a home in Kentucky...???

We were extremely pleased with the communication & service that we received from Mary & the rest of her team right up until the actual closing, and then we felt hung out to dry. Both Mary & Helen were on vacation & Virginia filled in for them. That is when we began to be extremely disappointed - when it counted most. Mary took care of it in the end, but we were left in a conference room for hours until then, all because it seems someone wasn't paying attention. Closing sucked, otherwise 5 stars.

Poor communication when it counted. Processor will not pick up the phone when needed to resolve issues. Not Once did she speak to me, pushed it off onto “underlings” who while pleasant enough did not understand how to fix the problem or the urgency of timing on working the resubordination of 2nd lien. Because of their delays, we were jammed at closing with an extra 3/8 points in fees from what we were “locked” at. Not our fault, it’s a bad way to do business, and we’re not happy about it.

Mary was not the problem it was Helen She was even late with information on my settlement. The lawyer had to call her to get money released It was a constant battle with Helen me begging her to get my paperwork in order. She would send mean email at 515 with things they needed ASAP This was a terrible experience feel free to call me. 352-552-5460. Barbara Schmidt

At the beginning o the process we voiced concerns about a rental portion, which were dismissed and later became a very large issue in our loan process resulting in a significantly higher down payment. We wish the zoning of this property would have been looked up at the beginning of the process, rather than the end. Additionally, on closing day we felt as though communication within departments at The Mortgage Firm was poor. Documents that had been approved by one party, were denied by another.

I would like to speak directly with Mary to explain exactly why I have entered the ratings we have entered. We totally would recommend to everyone, both family and friends, that working directly with Mary Rhodes is an ideal situation. Mary is absolutely the very best, a professional, extremely knowledgeable, and caring person. However because of some specific unfortunate situations directly attributed to the covid pandemic our experience became really why beyond anything close to satisfactory.
