Love Metro, Love that its my bank & LOVE that they opened this branch because I am OFTEN driving right up Mass Ave & often was stopping at the Bank of America across the Street @ South Bay Plaza and spending $2.50 for a service fee... NOW I DONT HAVE TO... Love the drive up ATM (only one they have - incase you arent driving) Hate that I have to drive back around the corner to get out because often people coming South on Mass Ave wont let you back into traffic... GREAT BASIC BANK. Great CD interest rates, fees etc are much better than BOA. I was able to walk in and get a new debit card when mine stopped working because the chip failed. Fast and easy. BUT- my main issue is the Fraud alerts are super sensitive, and my debit card gets blocked for charges I've attempted. The verification phone number only gives you one chance to provide the code they sent you. They will not email, nor call on a landline, only text, and if your cell is not already on file, there's no way to get the card u... read more

Worst bank ever dealt with. Mechanical voice made us wait 4 hours for a human and it never happened. Call back butoon didn't work, hung up. you might as well go out of business because no one can contact you.

I kept my account with them for a while, but I ran into some substantial customer service issues eventually and found better rates elsewhere. Even after closing my account with them, I continued to get spam mail from organizations they had shared my contact info with, and when I asked if MetroCU could stop this mail, they said it wasn't their problem.

Absolutely Horrible Company to deal with. I have spent countless hours trying to get ahold of them on the phone. When I can finally get through to a real person- each person tells me something different. I am trying to get help with them for my car loan for changing my name due to marriage. Who knew the hardest part of a name change (including RMV, social security office, passport, all other banks, etc) metro would be the absolute hardest part. Brought all my paperwork including statements, Metro Card, and my ID but still had a difficult time closing my account. Just glad to be rid of them at this point. BTW they do charge $15 to close the account

Absolutely trash. Amazing how i have the same complaint as others have been saying for 12 months. No one answers the phone and when they do they are absolutely clueless. Trash. 12 months and no improvement, terrible management
