LITERALLY THE WORST CREDIT UNION EVER. I have one credit card with them, and have for several years. They have the worst customer service of any place I've ever used. They recently changed everyone's accounts and there was no online access for weeks. WEEKS!! Use any other bank, use any other credit union, just don't use them. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!

Incompetent, inept, and unprofessional. I asked for a rate quote from one of their mortgage "specialists" before I would agree to their running a credit report on me. The rate was acceptable so I said go ahead. Two days later I was informed that the rate had jumped a quarter percent higher before they could obtain a rate lock for me. Suspicious! Then, after I complained to the supervisor, he informed me that the rate had not jumped but had been steady at the higher rate for months. How is it that the mortgage specialis... read more

Due to this banks criminal activity, and decisions to make up rules and regulations as they come, I told Metro I would be closing my account for the better. According to Metro, transactions via applications do not show on pending transactions, per Federal guidelines (was literally told this by a specialist). I have had instances where weekly transactions that should occur do not and don't show as pending. With this happening so often, one would assume 4-5 days after a transaction should be processed that isn't, that you shou... read more

This review concerns their online billpay website. It's basically unusable and their customer service staff are unable to figure out why. Absolutely ridiculous that they can't figure out such a basic thing in this day and age.

It is probably good for basic banking. However, putting a significant amount of money into their High Yield Savings is problematic. They keep raising the interest rates for new accounts and you are left behind in whatever deal you made with them. The only folks who get the new higher rate are folks who open new accounts. I just moved over $200K from Metro to Ally which increases the rate automatically when the Feds go up.

I started to open an account here and closed it immediately. Even after I closed it, they proceeded to transfer all of the money from my former bank account. I had to wait 5 business days to have my funds released. I did not trust them to return it to my original account or send me a check, so I went into the branch and had to take my savings and checking account balances home in cash (and of course they didn't have $100s). They're crooks. Stay away from them. As an aside, my employer recommends them as a partner insti... read more

Worst service and place to be. Long lines for hours. The teller are rude and takes their time to do your transaction and half of the its incorrect. And upper management treats their staff very poorly. I closed out my accounts and went to citizens.

I have been a member of Metro for more than 6 years. I tried twice applying for a car loan and no one bothered to called me back. I call and spoke with someone in the bank and the person decided to look into the problem then call me back, they never did. Metro does not give loans no matter how long you are a member, nor do they respond to their customer in a timely manner. I spoke to another person who had a metro account and they also stated the same issues as well and stated that is why they are no longer a member. I ha... read more
