bread was stale. twice. food was just ok. soup was super salty.
We have been going here for some 5 years for special occasions but noticed this time the menu is somewhat changed and the upstairs area has been renovated making it quieter. One of us ordered the filet mignon which was excellent but the stuffed pork was much too dry and not good. The Caesars salad was ordinary, the breads in the bread basket were overbaked and therefore too dry. The dumpling appetizer was quite good. So we gave it only 3 stars when a 4 star review might have been given in the past.
Appetizers were delicious (baked bree and filet mignon spring rolls), table bread and flavored butter were also very tasty. Pan seared scallops with mushroom risotto was also beautifully prepared and were delicious. Baked salmon was also very good. Love the Asian-fusion theme.
Nice location. Neat room, friendly, competent server and good food to boot.
Met some longtime friends for brunch at the Metropolitan Cafe. The setting was great for us to catch up after not seeing each other for years. Our server was terrific. He personalized our orders, kept our drinks topped off and was generally a wonderful asset to the restaurant. The good was good too. We all had the Metro plate of eggs, waffle, bacon and fried potatoes.
This restaurant has a widely varied menu, from steak to sushi to pasta. The dishes we had were both delicous and beautifully plated. There’s a busy bar up front but the dining area in the rear was fairly quiet for a Friday night. There was a good selection of both wine by the glass and specialty cocktails. The restaurant was more “upscale” than many local hangouts, but still represented a good value.
Food was definitely not up to their usual standards. Over cooked . Special at 42.00 was over cooked and no taste. Very disappointed. Service was mediocre at best
Food and service were excellent. A little pricey. Outside seating was enjoyable
My husband & I had dinner upstairs We were on top of the tables to the left and right of us To the point of feeling like we had no privacy The service, food & overall experience was ok not great not terrible just ok
