EAsy Still has a lot tasks to do and works like a charm
Nice but wireless is problematic on a Mac I bought this printer because I wanted a fast, duplex, color printer. It is good in that regard. However, it CONTINUES to drop off my wireless network and sometimes is missing-in-action when I attempt to use it in wireless mode from my Mac. The printer simply falls asleep. If that happens, sometimes I can get it running by walking down the hall and pressing the home button; in my case I must then go back to my desktop to delete the old job, issue a new print and walk back again. It is a great machine Brother machines never cease to amaze me. I am a true believer that there are no other brands that come close to Brother machines
Mostly a good printer Two issues I have with the printer: 1. Have to reboot the printer about every 2 to 3 weeks. 2. I can't get pdf's to print front-to-back. Other formats such as Word doc's print front-to-back with no problem. Otherwise, I like the printer.
Good (but not great) small office printer After retiring my former home office printer (from another manufacturer), I was eager to find a printer that was not only reliable, but could also deliver a bit more functionality than standard small-business models to meet my business' needs, including: - Fast (and not-so-loud) printing; - Automatic document feeder (ADF) that can accommodate a large document; and, - Ledger size (11" x 17") capacity. Not sure yet? Haven't had enough time to properly set it up for the wireless printing. Had problems with not being able to print from emails. The quality is great but the learning curve for me has been long, admittedly because I don't know enough about which paper tray does what when, ect. Have taken time to get phone support cause I've learned enough to function, but it takes a little different process to maximize it's taughted strengths.
Far better than I had anticipated I have been using Laser printers for the last several years. I decided to switch to ink, because I found that toner cartridges were too big a pain--they leak often. It turned out that this ink printer is as fast, if not faster than my laser printers. Easy to set up and easy to use. Don't yet know about reliability and long term cost of ink.
Great Features The unit functions flawlessly and is very intuitive in it's operation. The wireless feature is most helpful and makes it a great purchase.
Fairly easy to use. Took much experimenting to learn how to use printer, as instructions are not very clear. Color and black/white seem too light compared with a laser printer which I also have and use. Need to be able to email and fax from printer directly.
