Holy cow, the ink really does last a year! This printer is excellent; honestly, the best one I have ever had. I have had it a year now, and I just replaced the black cartridge. I have printed thousands of pages over the last year. It has jammed only occasionally, and the only thing I've found it doesn't do well is print double-sided on card stock. You have to manually flip the cardstock and re-insert it. A small price to pay for a superb printer. I don't think I'd ever buy anything other than a Brother from here on out!
Good if you don't want to address envelopes Unable to contact tech support. Instructions for addressing envelops is useless, on line or in CD. A very nice printer otherwise. Noisier than the Brother I bought 15 years ago.
Great printer Great printer, makes good clear legible copies, scanning is also reliable, I just had to figure out how to scan but with a couple of try’s I caught on quickly, very user friendly, hints: top of paper goes in first face down, also I would like to mention I received the printer sooner than the delivery date stated which was a plus, can’t comment on toner just yet and how long it last since I’ve only had it for 2 weeks now, also very easy to connect to the wifi and to connect other devices to it like my daughters ... read more

Seems slower than my last Brother printer This seems slower than my last Brother printer. I will have to look to see if I can adjust it. I can't imagine the SAMPLE ink cartridges that came with the computer would last anyone a year but I guess we will see. the last Brother printer I had came with full size cartridges. They didn't last a year either but then I do a lot of printing. I have used Brother printers for over 10 years and have always had good luck with them. I trust their brand.
Best printer I have ever owned. Maybe the best printer I have ever had. I have owned many different brands of printers over the past few years. I have thrown many of them in the trash after just a few months or less. This is my 1st brother printer. I print something out only about once a week. A big problem I have had with most ink-jet printers is that when they sit too long without being used, they get clogged up. No amount of cleaning fixes them. Highly recommended Have purchased two Canon printers and one HD with undesirable and frustrating results. Returned them. This Brother J805DW model stays connected without power draw, prints quickly, beautifully, and instantly from an iPhone and MacBook Pro. Offers simple wireless/setup connection, easy scanning and labeling. Easily-to-insert ink cartridges are inexpensive and long-lasting. What’s else can I say about my satisfaction? It’s perfect — a claim that I’ve never made about any other product.
