Big Brother shuts down your printer when they want This would be a good printer except for one thing which I consider a dealbreaker. When the printer thinks the toner life is over, it stops printing and you cannot print until you install a new toner. It is not up to you to determine, but up to Big Brother. Of course, this feature is not to provide you with good customer service, but rather to force you to buy their overpriced toners on a more frequent basis. In the future I will make an effort to buy only printers that allow... read more

Displaying "Receiving Data" is what this printer does best... ...but not actually receiving it. This printer is killing me! We have several of the Brother MFC-7880DW that have been excellent...quick to print and super durable. They have been spitting out printed sheets for about 5 years now. Our business grew so when adding a printer decided to upgrade to a nicer Brother...the MFC-L5700DW...big mistake. Print quality is excellent but it it is extremely SLOOOOW in "receiving data". Print anything bigger than 1 sheet and you a... read more

Brother replaced it with a refurbished one that started doing the crease thing days after the warranty expired.

This product was delivered with the toner cartridge inserted improperly rendering the entire printer useless. I have tried calling Amazon using the service number but it keeps hanging up after 30 seconds. I cannot believe that I wasted 300 bucks on this

Go with an HP if you need a professional quality The printer itself is okay. The best thing I can say about it is the toner lasts a long time. I needed a high quality laser printer for legal field and have never bought anything besides a Hewlett Packard. I decided to try a Brother based on positive reviews I read. All I can say is wow, standards are just really very different. The print quality is way below acceptable for me. Despite going into the settings and choosing the highest quality setting AND buying the best paper w... read more

Terrible Phone Support Brother support has gone to the dogs. If you have a superficial problem you might get minimal help. The installation of this machine on our network went terrific, much easier than prior purchases of Brother. We ran into the problem on a firmware update which many machines will need. When we contacted Brother support two separate times we waited on hold 20 plus minutes each time. When we finally got support we got ATTITUDE and inept assistance. Brother needs to perform quality control on their support s... read more
