Mostly very nice with a few annoyances For the price, you just can't beat this printer. And it works with Linux! There are some frustrating problems with it, like scanning will drop/chop off 1/8" margins around each page... and there is no way to compensate (probably worst problem of all). Five Stars Exactly as described and as I anticipated.
Brother MFCL2740DW Wireless Monochrome Printer... My nephew is loving it. It is compatible with Windows 10...it works like a pro!!! It accepts replacement toner cartridges from EPS (merchant with Amazon) which work like the original Brother International printer product at a more affordable price. I believe in Brother Printers...the best in my opinion, and I have owned Lexmark, Epson, Canon, and HPs...will stick with Brother Printers from now on!!!

It is perfect for Black & printing! I actually print tons of things with black and white and also cheaper on ink. This printer works good when it stays connected to my laptop. But this printer keeps on disconnect from my laptop(wifi) I have to reconnect printer to my laptop. Annoying. When I bought this printer I thought this was a color and black &white but it turns out this is only black&white. :( now I have to buy another printer for color!!!
Brother quality and good price. So far so good. I got tired of buying $50 ink cartridges and having them dry up between uses. Since laser printers have gone down in price it was time to look at them seriously. It's predecessor was rated tops on the Consumer Reports site. It's the same as the previous model, that I can tell, but this one is wireless and I can even print from my smartphone and laptop even though it's plugged in (USB) to my desktop.
