The extracurricular activities are mostly composed of the arts that are mandatory to take, and one single foreign language class, spanish. Extracurriculars could be more varied but it is an arts school, therefor art is a very big component of it.
The teachers, workload, and lesson plans are all spectacular but the curriculum could consist of more variety. The school only offers one foreign language which is already most of the students second language, spanish. And electives only consist of spanish, pe, AP Bio, anatomy, and Calculus
The school is gated and has permanent securities at the entrances. There are other securities roaming the halls and classrooms. Overall the school has taken adequate safety measures.
The teachers are very friendly and willing to assist students on any matters. Their lesson plans are always very organized, often taking everything into consideration. All the teachers have majors in their occupation which allows them to provide an accurate and reliable education to the students of Miami Arts Charter.
Some teachers really try their best for us and really give us a good time and try to make Things easier to understand and other teachers don't really try, which is nice because I don't feel pressure
The teachers involved in Miami Arts Charter help guide and inspire the students. The knowledge they are motivated to share with the students and their involvement encouraged myself to go into college and continue an education.
In this school, everybody is family, we all know each other and respect one another. We can freely express ourselves through art
This school not only allows me to explore my artistic side, but also bond with others who are interested in the same things I am. I have made so many friends who are reliable and fun to be around. The teachers are friendly and only want what is best for their students. The staff is very kind and understanding. If I could do it all over, I would still choose to come to this school, because we are so diverse and interesting, and you can't go one day without learning something new.
Before going to this school, I never felt like I completely belong in a normal public school. There were not many other kids interested in the same things I was, and I was considered weird for being the way I was. Now going to MAC, I feel like I've found my perfect fit. I have many friends that are interested in the same things I am, whether it be classical music, reading, or other things.
