During my freshman year in high school, I joined the Song Writing Club. This student organization allowed me to learn how to analyze song lyrics from famous artists and use their ideas to write my own songs. I recorded my best work in a professional studio for my school's anthology.
There aren't many options and the clubs/organizations that do exist have a hard time earning funds. They do, however, have good sponsors and students are heavily involved in their particular club.
The building is always maintained and although the facilities aren't top-notch, they are definitely high on the list in terms of having essential tools to learn. Guidance counselors provide insight and college readiness and tutoring is widely available and spread out for all needs and questions. Parent involvement isn't big in funding for the school, but they are involved in their children's arts and academics. Busing is available.
The menus vary every week and each day brings about a new meal, and salad/wraps are always offered as a second option. The food is not particularly healthy, but the proportions are good and moderate. Special dietary accommodations must be met with someone in faculty, but in general, there are no special accommodations available. Snacks are always stocked and offer a variety of drinks, as well.
The food is really good. I think we should have a little more time since the lines are very long.
The school administration genuinely cares about the students. We dont have many bullying at school. It also isnt tolerated at all. The guidance counseler is one of the best I've ever seen. He is really helpful and nice to everyone. The dress code is fair. But i believe that we should be able to wear jackets and boots. in the end no one really fights it becuase it's not worth it.
The teachers really know what they are talking about and are passionate about what they teach. They are really friendly and you can trust them. They care about the students and communicate very well. They are prepared for most things. They are really good people.
The safety at the school is really good. We dont have a nurse. Overall everyone feels safe.
One of the things I like to join is student council.
