My experience with buying my new 2014 Mini was outstanding! Sarah and Sue went out of their way offering test drives, answering endless questions and wishing to help us order a car that would meet our specific needs.

"Tried repeatedly to get test drive info. Could not get..." Tried repeatedly to get test drive info. Could not get car details or availability. Poor communication over multiple tries and no follow through. Chad at Southfield mini set up everything we wanted in one call.

"They tell you it’s broken when it isn’t " This has happened twice now! I take my car into the Mini of Ann Arbor (Mini Cooper dealership) and both times they have tried to sell me or have me fix parts on my car that did not need fixing. I took my car in for a flat and they came out telling me my car needs a new battery and my driving belt had a tear in it and that I should get it fixed right away and that they would be happy to do it for me while I wait. I called the dealer and told him that I was willing to drive 3.5 hours to purchase a vehicle in their lot if they were up front and honest about the condition of the vehicle. He took additional pictures of the vehicle to show the minor blemishes. I told him I would be there the next day, and would let him know when I got on the road. I did so, and let him know that my GPS said I would be around 3 PM. He sent me a text back confirming that, and then even ent an e-mail confirmation of the appointment. My mini needed service. i asked advisor when is a slow day. he said wed i brought the mini for repair. i told him i was waiting for it. He told me where the lounge was in the dealership. i went had had some breakfast and was gone for 3-1/2 hours. i came back and asked was the car finished. They stated it had not been worked on. WHY DO YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN THE MORNING AT 9:30 if they aren't working on it. I was in a hurry to get a replacement for my recently-deceased car. I went to Mini and described my needs to Jonathan McClair. To my surprise, he actually suggested that a mini wouldn't be a good fit for me, and instead pointed me at a great deal on a car that was being sold WAY below its bluebook value. He worked the financing with me, didn't pressure me, and made sure everything fell into place on time.

This dealership has made it clear that customer service is not a priority. We have been trying to work with them for almost 2 months and they continue to be unhelpful and in many cases unresponsive. Worst customer service team I've ever encountered.
