TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave's is one of my ultimate favorite places to eat. I went today 2/3/25, tried the top-loaded fries, asked for extra kale slaw, which I did not get, and extra pickles, which I did get. For 15.99, give me some extra slaw. I come here pretty often, but maybe I will find some place else. Too many places aren't chinsy with extras, to go somewhere that is.
This isn't my first time having Dave's hot chicken but it is one if the best I've ever had. We came at about 6pm opening day and the line moved very fast. My husband and I were able to find a table without a problem. The mild strips had just a tiny kick. The fries are well seasoned. I really like the kale slaw.
This place is very clean with creative paintings on the wall, very colorful. The customer service was great, it was our first time here and the cashier answered all of our questions nicely. There are kiosks to order your food if you'd rather do that. The food was great. We ordered the chicken sandwiches, mild and medium and it was just the amount of heat we were wanting. Never been here before but had a freebie slider in the app. So glad I came ! Thanks a lot for the generous offer. The line was out the door , was worth the wait. Will return as a customer :) Wonderful staff as well .
Wow, this place is great!.. probably my new favorite chicken sandwich. It seems like they cook to order. My chicken and Fries came out hot and crispy. That makes such a big difference. I'm tired of going to fast food only to get my food cold/warm. I'm glad I finally gave this place a chance. The interior and even restrooms are super clean. Love the art on the walls.
