Seven of us had dinner on a Saturday night at Nia. The food and service were good. Our only complaint was you had to each go with one item from each of the seven courses for $33. We would have preferred to have skipped the salad course, for example and chosen more of other courses. This was not apparent when we went on their website to look at the menu. There were no prices listed on the website.
I picked this restaurant at random from a list of West Loop offerings and my group was not disappointed. Tapas was inventive and tasted great. Portions were sufficient. We ordered the prix fixe and there was certainly enough to eat for 33.00 per head. Nice ambiance and will decorated, with attentive and helpful service. I am planning to go back
Always enjoying visiting Nia when in Chicago. The food and service is consistently outstanding. Great atmosphere with jazz from Ella to Esperanza softly playing in the background. Great wine selection. A real gem on Randolph Street.
I was looking for a place for my wife and I to entertain my out of town cousin and his wife. Nia was one of the places recommended by a colleague. I made reservations before really digging into reviews. I was nervous after some of the suspect reviews on yelp, but both the service and food was very good. My cousin is kind of a foody and enjoyed picking out the wine and dishes. The ambiance was perfect for talking and catching up. All in all, the four of us had a great time and enjoyed both the food and wine.
We were a party of 14, which is normally difficult. They were very accomodating. The 8 course meal was fun and delicious! We were the only party in the restaurant for a while, so if it was loud, it was because of us. Fantastic!
Mediterean tapas restaurant. Great, leisurely dining experience (or lunch - have been there for both). Enjoyable mix of tastes, foods, perfect with wine. Tapas are shared, 8 courses, selections from each course. Our vegetarian diners, and meat-eaters were all happy. I intend going back to take more friends to experience the dining experience. Wait staff not be any friendlier or more attentive.
great
Nia, the owner of the restaurant, is an angel. She makes sure the food is constantly up to great standards and works the room(s) like a mom or aunt in someone's home, seeing all guests and taking care of them, beyond her excellent staff. It is always a great meal and experience when you enjoy dining at NIA.
We enjoyed our meal very much. The food was very good, service was great. Loved sitting outside on a beautiful summer evening. I've been there before (for lunch and this time for dinner) and will definitely go back.
