We decided to try Nia Mediterranean for Chicago's Restaurant Week. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Eight courses of little (tapas)plates, just the right amount of food. I do agree with another reviewer that the music needs working on. Instead of playing Top 40, which just did not fit the ambiance of the restaurant, more authentic Greek or ethnic music would really complete the package. Otherwise, a great experience!

I tried Nia during Restaurant Week with a couple of my friends. The tapas dishes that stood out the most for me were the crab cakes, hummus, and tiramisu. The crab cakes were delicious, but small. However, the other dishes we ordered (butternut squash, pork tenderloin, and Nia salad) were just average. The seasoning for the pork tenderloin was over done and the butternut squash wasn't anything special. Overall, the atmosphere was really calm and relaxing and the service was exceptional! We went for restaurant week and had the 8 course menu. I was a little disappointed at first that the portions were so small. But by the end of the meal, I was glad they had been. If they had been any larger, I would not have been able to finish the meal. Food was good overall, although I didnt feel like it was "authentic" Greek food. If you are going for a good Greek meal, there are better places to go. If you are just going for good-tasting food, a nice/quieter atmosphere and good service, then this place fits the bill.

This was my first time at Nia, we ordered the 8 course dinner for $33 and it was amazing. The portions were very generous and tasty, and the service was great. The only complaint we had about this restaurant was the music. It was terrible and actually annoying. The ambiance of the restaurant does not match the "Mediterranean" theme. It’s supposed to be romantic but it wasn’t. Overall, we were very pleased.

The food is great, albeit different than the more famous places in the neighborhood. And you can still get a table. Service is generally very good, but the staff sometimes gets overwhelmed when busy.

Great food reasonably priced. Great service as well. The only issue is with parking as you will probably need to use the $10 valet.
