I do not agree this property being rated four star. I would give it a two. If the traveler is looking for a clean place to rest their head, NU Hotel Brooklyn is the place. I get the impression this hotel used to be a college dorm. The lay out of the irregular hallway and colors seem to be of that building. The low height of the bed is the other reason I say this. Gary was really great...nice, professional and juggling a lot as they were dealing with staff shortages. A few hiccups upon check in that were remedied. Loud hot water faucet was off putting. All in all it was a nice visit.

Friendly staff Attentive staff. Clean cozy room. Gym was really great. Continental breakfast options were solid. Just wish I had known the bike fleet would be put away for the season.

The bed mattresses need to be updated, both my colleague and I each had beds in our rooms that were dented in or lopsided. Doors are very thin, you can hear everything going on out in the hall. Additionally, cleaning staff were vacuuming around midnight my last night in the hotel, which was very weird and kept me awake.
