We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and usually love it. I don’t know if it changed management or what happened, but it’s awful now. The food, service, drinks were all really bad. Food was dry and served cold. Service was rude and she forgot parts of the order. Drinks tasted like sugar water. We used to love coming to this restaurant, but now I don’t have a desire to go back. Overall not a good experience.
Absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever had. We reserve a large party (13 guests) for a birthday dinner which happened to be on Cinco De Mayo. Our reservation was for 7:30pm, we were seated right away however the room they put us in had zero air conditioning . We decided to try this restaurant based on a review we saw on Facebook and we were very disappointed. The food was not very good. The steak and chicken fajitas lacked seasoning and there was not very much meat. It was mostly onions and peppers. The corn tortillas were stuck together and ripped when trying to peel them apart. The Food and Drinks are really very good. We’ve tried all varieties of fajitas which are delicious and plenty to share. Their margaritas are super good. We like HOT so we have them spice up the Spicy Pineapple Margarita and rim it with Tajin seasoning. DELICIOUS 🥵 Drinks come with seasonal decor. Ours had pink flamingos and colorful ducks. Reservation that was made was easy. But our waiter was not very good, our drinks took 23 minutes to get. I mean yes we had a big party, it took forever to our first and second drinks. And one person at our table got their food with only one taco order when he had three and no one else got their food for another 30 mins. Server was not very attentive. Took about 15 mins for her to get to our tables and when she did come we were not even greeted. She simply sat waters down and kept going and took several minutes to return. while eating she did not come to check on the table just look and us and kept walking (multiple times). Overall the food was good but the service was not.
We’ve been coming here for years and have always loved it. I know the place has recently “gone viral” and I’m so happy for this restaurant to grow… however.. quality of everything seemed to go down a little. We used to love the queso, it was just okay. Waitstaff and ambiance was fine, but the food was extremely disappointing. Flautas were doughy and alittle sour, the nacho queso tasted expired, and the elote was in a soup of watery mayo. The drinks weren’t any better, the margaritas tasted like soap. We left after ordering appetizers because we were nervous about what the rest of the food would taste like. Never knew it took so long to make taco’s. They were more concerned about the party outside than the folks inside…. It was date night and I had saw the restaurant on ig….the valentine theme looked cool so we traveled from Tampa just to head back on an empty stomach .
