Avoid this apartment complex I regrettably signed a 15 month lease here. The pest issues made living here a nightmare. There were roaches everywhere. As soon as we moved in, we noticed them. Management didn’t seem to care. Pest control services came out multiple times and advised what they were doing wouldn’t fix the issue. That they would just have to come out weekly. Just Don’t Where to begin. We moved in 2 years ago and all thing went downhill from there. DON'T LIVE HERE Do NOT live here. I'm currently going back and forth with management who will not and has yet to provide proof for charges applied to me after moving out. I had to request a breakdown and "proof". The images sent to me do not show any damage done, I have my own images as well. I contacted corporate and was looped back around to the property office who cannot provide me any pictures showing that my carpets were damaged beyond normal wear and tear. Do not do business with Oak Forest My fiancé and I were residents at Oak Forest and moved out August of 2018. They sent a balance to a collections agency over 1 year later. I received a phone call from the collection agency and was scared and threatened into paying that balance out of fear for my credit. Good property but HORRIBLE management I have lived here for 1.5 years and have had an overall positive experience but ever since we put in our notice that we are moving things have been terrible. They didn’t take out our auto paid rent because we had to give them a reletting fee with our move out notice and they just used most of that as a “credit” for our rent. Decent complex but there are some pitfalls Lived in complex for two years. Positives: -Good location and safe community compared to other apartment complexes in the area. -Friendly leasing agents and maintenance staff. -Not the cheapest but not expensive. Respectable pricing. Negatives: -$75 dollar late fee if rent is not paid after the third of every month and an extra $10 every day after the fourth. Not worth the money I have lived for a year and the rent is too much for what we get. The trash is always full. The valet doesnt pick up all the trash and then they complain about picking up more than one bag. Water is too expensive I over pay for eater when is just one person. They were one week late on giving me the apartment, and once I received it the apartment was fixed in a sloppy way. They also lost my rent money and gave me an eviction notice, and blamed the lost of rent on me.
Horrible service Please if you have the opportunity do not ever live at this property, I wish I would have heeded the red flags I noticed reading thee reviews prior to signing the lease. Don’t be like me and regret it later. The management team is inefficient I don’t know whether they just do not communicate with each other or they are ballant liars. Don’t live here First of all they took forever to have my apartment ready and instead of saying sorry and compensating me for all the inconvenience they said “ these things happen all the time”. That to me was not okay. Then once the apartment was given to me is was half fixed. Patches of paints. Things were broken. Toilet never works. THe loud sound of the air conditioner when is on. As well as the office loosing my rent money and sending me an eviction notice when it was their fault. Just don’t move in.
