We really like the layout of the community itself, there are a lot of bright colors and nice decorations to look out. The different apartments are laid out in a centralized area which we do like. The reason the activities and care services get a 3 star and below is just the struggling with staffing - at times there is no one available which causes some concern if a residents were to need something.

Oaks at Chanticleer was actually our first choice, it is an excellent facility. I loved the atmosphere here, you could tell the staff really try to give residents independence but encourage them to participate in things as well. Unfortunately it was just too expensive for us. If I could afford it, I would have definitely chosen to put her here.

For our overall we give it 3 stars, it was good when our loved one first got there but it is not so good now. Very short staffed like a lot of places. Residents left alone in their area for short periods. Very good meals but minor portions given. My loved one has lost 22 lbs since being there. Have activities but don't try to involve everyone. The community is very clean, good meals but short staffed.
Oaks at Chanticleer has been an off the scale experience for our family it has just been that good. The staff are so good about keeping up constant communication with our family and always making us feel welcomed. Our loved one at times can be difficult and they are very patient and work very well with our loved one. The facility itself is very nice, our tour was great, the residents engage with each other and the staff engaged with the residents and based on our experience so far we would absolutely recommend this community... read more

The staff are super nice and very helpful. They call you if there's any type of problem or situation. They definitely keep in touch with you. When I go to visit, they're always out and about doing what they can to help everybody. And the facility itself is great.

Oaks at Chanticleer is a full capacity community for dementia and Alzheimer patients - because of that there was not much stimulation for our loved one there but in terms of the care and the staff they were wonderful to him. They took the time to get to know him and make sure he was always okay. They contacted us for everything little thing that happened with our loved. The people were great, we had an enjoyable experience. It is a cute facility and we have nothing bad to say about the Oaks community
The bright and cheerful décor that gives it the look of a community rather than a skilled care facility.
Highly recommend it, she has just really blossomed there. We certainly can say we know we made the right decision for our loved one.

The staff was great, and they worked with me to get my loved one transferred quickly and safely. They worked hard to get everything done quickly. I was in a jam and had to have somewhere for my loved one to go. They were great.
