This was a video tour. I was just not that impressed, felt more like a business partner than just trying to show me how it is to live there. Felt more like selling point than actually genuine.

Spouse is client and has parkinson with dementia and the CNA's and med-techs on his area are very caring and treat him with respect (as if it were their own Dad) and they redirect as needed. The facility is changing management and we now have a new Exec. Director and are wanting more hands on deck. They have reached out presently. Facility is always clean, and clients also. *A Place for Mom - phone personnel were helpful.

We chose The Haven because of the availability that they had at the time and comparable prices to others in the area. The room sizes at the facility were private and good size. I think once they change management and they hire appropriate staff for what they need, it will be a great place.

We could not go so we did a zoom with [name removed] and she was fantastic showing us the whole place and took time to answer all of our questions. She made a followup call the next day. Very professional and hoping to place our mom here in a few weeks.

My husband has been a resident at the Haven for two years (as of Aug 2019). My family and I have been very satisfied with his care and with their care for us as well. We have been pleased with the staff. The management has always been willing to listen to any concerns we have, which have been few. The food is great and the residents have two options to choose from at each meal. The way this facility is set up is what draws me to it also. There are three identical sections and the residents are free to visit any of them. The ... read more

When offering a review for The Haven it would be helpful to specify which of the three communities in which your loved one is/was a resident. Our mother has been in the Charleston unit for several years and we continue to be very satisfied with the care she receives, however, most important for us is that she is happy, content, and complimentary about the care she receives. This was not at all the case in her three previous residences. My wish for each of you who are facing this heart-rending challenge is that you quickly fi... read more

I am the POA for my brother who has been a resident at The Haven for the past year and a half. I mange this remotely and with a visit every couple of months and have found the staff helpful, encouraging, honest and demonstrate genuine caring for him. He is well taken care of with compassion and understanding of the residents needs. They are worth a visit when you need a place for a loved one.

My mother has been at the Haven for almost 7 months now. I was hesitant to place my mother anywhere but I was at the place where I could just not take care of her at home anymore. She wanders and had walked away from home during the night. The staff have been wonderful and helped me to calm my fears overtime. I can relax knowing she is cared for and someone is looking out for her. Although no one can ever care for mom like I do, I can honestly say they try. The building is clean, the food is good, the laundry is done and the... read more

My loved one has only been here a short time, but so far things have gone very well! They really put a lot of effort into making her feel welcome. I think they do an excellent job in terms of the care, the facility itself is nice, and they even do a good job with the food!
