I would tell others we did not have a good experience. They promised a lot of things that they did not follow through on. For instance my loved one has celiac so they told us they would be able to feed our loved one a gluten free diet and that did not happen. Administration was not responsive at all and I think they will say whatever they can to get you in here.

Business response:

I am the Executive Director and was sorry to read this review, which was unfortunately just published by SeniorAdvisor. While some time has passed since you wrote this, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you about your concerns as we always strive to exceed the expectations of our residents and their families. Please contact me at the community at your earliest convenience.

My loved one was there and ended up having bed bugs in their furniture. I found this out when trying to move my loved one out of the community. The community didn't send pictures of my loved one when asked for this. The management changed and the community didn't inform us of this change. The community wanted me to sit with my loved one 24 hours a day for 14 days due to them contracting COVID. They gave me another option to hire someone to do this.

I would want others to know when looking into Gardens of Fayetteville that they say a lot to get you to go there, but it is nothing like what they say. For example, my father has Celiac and he cant have gluten products, they said they could handle that. Then once he moved in they said they don't have gluten free meals. They said they had a lot of activities for residents as well but then they would cancel all the activities. The staff members here were not friendly at all even to our family members, we did not like how they ... read more

I really feel that every resident in memory care should be provided a complimentary landline phone in their rooms. My father is in memory care and it would be nice if they have more activities. He would enjoy going on outings in the community, and I don't feel that there is enough of them. I looked at a few places and I chose this one because of the convenience of the location for me. They told me that there would be a monthly price increase each year and i am not happy about that.

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. We know that during this time, with non-essential visitations suspended, regular communication with loved ones is very important. To that end there is a landline available for resident use and we are offering all residents and families assistance with FaceTime, Zoom or Skype to help them stay in touch. Note also that while regularly scheduled social events have been eliminated, we are supplementing in-room activities and programming to keep residents engaged. Please contact us directly if we can ... read more

I ended up walking out. Not impressed at all. Employees told me to wait and they would find [name removed] to help me. They were very loud and I could hear them saying they couldn’t find her. Not very professional. Not where I want my mom to be. Scratched off my list.

Business response:

I am the Executive Director and I am sorry to hear you had trouble connecting to take a tour recently. I apologize for the mix-up, and hope you will accept our invitation to return and hopefully stay long enough to dine with us. In addition we'd be delighted to connect you with current families who can tell you about their experience at our community. To ensure that we have someone available to show you our community and answer all your questions we suggest you call in advance or visit our website to schedule a tour. Please ... read more

I do have my concerns about this community, and my mother living here. I would say their responsive time, needs to quicker. Also they need to keep me inform on changes the community is going to have. I will be having a meeting with the director to voice my concerns. Hopefully they are willing to work with m, but if not I will have to consider other options.
