My mother was in the memory care unit of the Oaks. The staff there try to interact with the boarders as best they can. We did have some problems when mom went into hospice care. Getting Oaks and hospice on the same page took longer than I thought it should have. While mom was living there a change of ownership occurred with greater than 50% staff change. For some time they were without a staff nurse. I believe they are up to full now

Amazing place, beautiful, SWEET, CARING staff!!! My daddy has not been here long but we feel like family. They are not only taking GREAT care of my daddy but they have helped me mentally explaining and helping me understand my daddy’s condition (dementia) which has been hard for me to understand. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. The meals are amazing - my daddy is hard to please but he talks about how good the food is….which is a great thing.

My Mom (90 years old) moved in almost 2 years ago and it was the right call for us. This facility is warm and has a cozy feel to it as soon as you walk in. It is not one of the larger facilities that are being built now, however, that is what our family likes about it, more intimate. The staff is very open to conversations regarding my mom's care needs which is comforting since her needs have changed over the last 2 years. A hard decision was made to move my mom to assisted living when she needed someone with her day and night. We chose The Oaks at Stockbridge for her care and we are glad we did. She receives excellent care and the care is given in kindness. My mom has gained weight, her overall health has improved and she is safe. We moved our 95 year old mother into The Oaks of Stockbridge over a year ago and it has been such a blessing. We feel she has a staff that cares about her and helps with whatever she needs. It gives me and my siblings such peace of mine to know she is happy and enjoys her daily life of friendships, social activities and parties. She loves the trips on the bus to the ice cream shops, restaurants and just for rides. The facility is clean and very well organized. It gives us peace of mind knowing she is well taken care of.

My father was in the memory care area, they do an excellent job with meal time, making sure everyone is there and eating out if they need help they would feed them. The community nurse Helga is great, she always kept me informed if anything with my dad would change. The only improvement might be to have an additional person in the memory care area, it is small but difficult for 2 to manage.

We moved a very dear friend into Oaks at Stockbridge in [date removed]. It was a very hard move for her. She had lived by herself in her home with steps for many many years. She had to go into the hospital the end of August and was told by the doctor that he could not allow her to go home by herself. We called Oaks to see if I could come and tour the community.
