Very nice, followed up many times. Tried everthing they could to help. The only thing we could afford was a shared room and that wouldn't work with mother
Kathy met with me and gave the tour. What a lovely place. I could see Mom living comfortable there but we have a long way to go in getting her place cleaned out in PA and getting her here. The price is high and we would have to use all of VA benefits and whatever other benefits are available in order to cover the cost...but it's a beautiful, comfortable, professionally run place for Mom.
Very nicely kept, staff seemed extremely helpful. liked the bristol cafe which provided constant snack if needed and the upstair patio/balcony. had a small outdoor area in back. seemed most residents stayed around the front on patio. Sounded like they would possibly work with you on the price and also seemed they offered free promos on the upfront cost $2000. A little confusing in layout, might take awhile to get use too
The place was very nice. The people very professional and friendly. They only had One room available and I thought the room was too small for 2 people. They said they didn't have anything else.

We're extremely impressed with Dogwood Forest of Stockbridge! In fact, one of our absolute favorites. The Care Providers were engaging and seemed to be very well trained. Clean facility with weekly deep cleaning. The Tour Guide showed great passion and was open honest and showed expertise for the business. A definite 5 Star Community.
When you tour the place, they tell you they check on your loved one every 2 hours, 24 hours a day. This isn't true. We were there many times for 4+ hours and no one checked on her. We were told the weekend staff number was the same as week days. Not true. Weekends were like a ghost town. When Mom needed help, we would search the whole building and not see any staff. We had to beg them to clean Mom's room. One time a staff member spilled a drink and only wiped it up. It stayed sticky for 3 weeks until someone finally cleaned ... read more
Moms been @ the facilty 2 months due to high turnover it seems organization,retraining and structure is needed my mom was being released from the hospital there was no one answering the phones hospital was unable to communicate the release information.when I arrived with mom all seemed well had to roll mom in on an office chair I was later told the facility does not provide wheelchair service you are responsible to provide your own . This place is a joke. No supervision on shifts. Bare minimum of staff. 8.00 hr employees. Critical falls constantly. Mgr was fired from last facility due to gross incompantance. Go on a regular basis and see for yourself. You want lto write a check for 5600 for a bed and don't care about your mom or dad go for it.
