Nice place to live I love my apartment it nice the staff is very nice
This is a fantastic building with awesome views of the lake. If you are looking for a nice quiet high rise with a fantastic view of the lake that is a great value. This is it. This is truly a hidden gem in the southern part of Hyde Park. If it were located in dowtown Hyde Park the rent would be 3 times as much. You need to go a few blocks for shopping but living here is worth it. . Management staff are very personable and the building is kept immaculate.
Verified Renter I was okay there but I had problem with the location and the fridge that used lots of energy and also a lot of other residents didn't follow the policy of non-smoking. also some times I meet some addicted people in the tower who were other resident. finally the amount of rent was so high that based on the location it wasn't worth

Verified Renter Overall experience is that I am satisfied with where I reside, if I wasn't I wouldn't have remained here the number of years I've been here. I refuse to live where I'm mad or always complaining or beefing about situations I'd packup and leave but that's not my case, so I will stay here.
Property Is Lousy But Management Tries Apartment is over heated during the winter; old appliances; our neighbors’ apartment flooded 3 times. Management company uses the term “vintage” opposed to “consistently placing band-aids on recurring building issues”.
Building Needs Some Tender Loving I like the building amenities, but everything needs work. The laundromat in the basement is super expensive (like 1.75 per wash and dry each). Then, the machine only takes bills more than a dollar thus forcing you to always drop more money on it than necessary. There is always a broken washer or dryer or too as well. Terrible The Oglesby Towers property has declined significantly in the 5 years I've been here. Roaches, elevator rarely works, the caliber of tenants they have recently allowed in clearly haven't been subject to a background check.
