Horrible customer service.First they authorized me to use and outside contractor because they couldnt find anyone of their providers that would answer the phone. When the job was done, I told them it was ****** for broken and leaking pipes, now they say they will only give me ******? What kind of warranty is that? So its been 2 months now, I called today to see were is my check. The invoice was help up (?) and they said they would send it through and I had to wait another 20 days. Terrible service, terrible customer service.

IF I can give zero I would! Beware they try to get out of everything! I was with this company for 6 years and because my credit card expired and had to renew and had a 1-2 month lapse between coverage, they refused to fix by tub leak "because it happened before my coverage restarted"!! and another sink leak I had they wouldn't fix because the pipe was connected wrong when the house was built 20 YEARS AGO! I would give 0 stars if possible. Old Republic is the biggest scam in home warranties, I have no idea how they even have a **** and an A+ rating with the BBB. Their company is full of fine print that they don't explain when they're selling you the cow pie of lies, they don't cover anything and when it's time to have "peace of mind" they punch you in the gut. I feel sorry for anyone that is conned into buying into these lies, the couple thousands of dollars I wasted with them, could've been used to fix what was found to be br... read more

They were kind on the phone, but ******************** sent out did not know the difference between a sump pump and a sewer ejector pump. He said it would not be covered. He said the repair would cost 3K-5K for replacement. The out-of-network plumber we used to fix the pump told us it was infact a sump pump, He spoke with the insurance company and told them what he was going to do (one a 14 minute conversation) and they denied he told them what he was going to do. We have used this home protection company for several years with increasing cost and fees and decreasing coverage and services. I recently had a plumbing emergency. A contactor was scheduled for more than 24 hrs later. Unfortunately, this wasn't an option due to the nature of the problem. Old republic indicated I could call my own plumbing service and needed to obtain approval for any service greater than $250. I am not pleased with the customer service. I had my main water line leaking and put in a request. Finally after three days of not being able to get ahold of Old Republic or the contractor they assigned; I called and paid 100% out of my pocket for it to be fixed just so I could have water at my home. The assigned contractor called me almost 10 days after my request! Not acceptable.

Around Thanksgiving 2022, we were having issues with our HVAC unit, we got pre-approved to be reimbursed for a new one. Everything was going smoothly, until it came time to receive our reimbursement check. After reaching out to them several times over the last 4 months. The last update was that our check was mailed in the beginning of February 2023. They are a bad company. They take too long to respond when we call for services and then they send the worst service to respond. Their contractors are paid to say that they can repair something even its not true. They take weeks to find a piece and they never follow up. We have to waste time with numerous frustrations calling to find out their resolutions. The company never takes responsibility for their contractors and their contractors are dishonest too.
