RecommendedWe have used Oldtown Veterinary Hospital for several years. The entire staff is amazing. Everyone was wonderful through the illness and treatment of our sweet Marko until he passed two years ago. Now that we are emotionally able to welcome new kitties into our home, Oldtown is our first choice for their care.

I moved from Miami to Winston-Salem about 2 years ago and didn't know where to bring my beautiful Maltese, Monique Suzette. I found Old Town Veterinary and so glad I did! Everyone one of the staff is so friendly and very helpful. Monique was 16 years old the first time we went to Old Town Veterinary and she had several cysts. Dr. Jarvis examined Monique and said because of her age she wouldn't consider putting her under to take biopsies which made me very, very happy. I love this vet. I'm a fairly new client, they took me as a walk in. From the vet go the staff was kind and compassionate. They never once judged me. I have special needs dogs, who's appearances can make people question their care. Dr. Gates has went above and beyond to help with mine. She's taken into consideration my background and experience, and will have discussions with me. She makes sure I'm comfortable with treatment plans, and is willing to take my input. We have gone to the same vet for years and always had an "ok" experience. One of our two dogs started having severe skin issues. After multiple visits where we were told over and over again, "it's just allergies" and given an antibiotic that helped temporarily, they never could really give us an answer. We tried one medication with no relief, but that was it. Finally, between that, and several bad customer service experiences, we had to try somewhere new. Yesterday was our first visit. I can’t say enough about Dr.Strickland and the entire staff at Oldtown. They’re very friendly and take your concerns seriously. In just a few visits we were able to figure out our sweet 14 year olds health issues. We’re on meds and doing so much better. Words can’t express how thankful we are for all of of you!
