My brother was there a week ago due to neurovirus and it went into septic shock. He barely made it but survived for a 3rd time. His heart took a hit also. But he has bruises on his arm and doesn't know why, his butt is raw from laying in his bowel movements and the worst thing is his right leg and foot are so swelled it looks like it could explode. Never again. He's still not feeling that great either. Ugh.ย
I had a baby in oct and he was life flighted here.. the nurse and the apn we had on his care at a week and half old almost killed him. The nurse and apn and the nurse that was in charge threatened to kick myself and my neice out for advocating for him. we kept telling them something was wrong. Worst hospital ever! 5/20 My mom passed at 67 years old from sepsis!!!!! Osf is a SHITHOLE!! Iโm 40 years old with neither parent now because ironically my father passed 10 years ago at osf from SEPSIS!!! My mother spent 5 days hereโฆshe was given antibiotics, 1 blood transfusion, and salineโฆ$63k in charges for the pharmacyโฆ?! Uhhhh what?! She had to go to the bathroom while I was there, it took someone 35 minutes to get there to help herโฆneedless to say, it was cleanup by then. Billing department is useless even if you have insurance. I have had nothing but problems over the years. Constantly get billed full for things that should have been covered by insurance. Have to argue with them to fix their mistakes. I have switched to Unity Point and donโt have any issues. Itโs not like I have terrible insurance. This is with Caterpillar BSCS.ย
My mom went into OSF for what we thought was a temporary stay. After the first few days, she was making progress and we were told that if her fever did not return, it was likely we could take her home. She was so excited and moving around as much as possible to keep her strength. Unfortunately, things did not go that way. In 2013 I started being a Neuro patient at first I thought the neurologist was great now in 2022 I'm suffering with a tumor from head to middle of spine I was diagnosed with Chiara malformation I ended up with decompression surgery which removed first two vertabrae and then 2 years later I had ventricle shiny and it was taken out June 2022 I was told if the pressure and migraines came back he would put new shunt in at appointment with surgeon he goes well I did what I could do I'm sending you to another doctor I've been hosp...ย read more
