A very nice restaurant with excellent service. The entrees were good but overpriced. I also felt like the waiter was trying to upscale me to more expensive items, e.g., that wine’s okay but . . . And the wine was good. May have been his honest opinion but the vibe didn’t feel like it.
Wow is a world you will use often for describing the food! Home made pastas and house specials! We started with a wonderful and very lightly breaded fried calamari and shrimp appetizer with a fresh and flavorful caprese salad paired with Lovely wine. Then we had a lobster ravioli and an amazing Chilean Sea Bass on top of a bed of lobster roll risotto - special of the day. The food was good, the service was friendly and attentive, but the restaurant had several large parties, including one of 25 which engulfed the staff and atmosphere. The servers tried to work around.
Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Looked a bit tired from the front patio and the interior was a little dated ;but that is where the criticism ends. This is a family owned and run operation and boy do they care! I have never had so many warm, friendly call backs ( by everyone). This is Italian at its best. The food was excellent, abundant and the prices were very reasonable. This is definitely a multiple repeat restaurant.
It was our 2nd time here and it was just as remarkable this time as the first! It’s a must when visiting San Diego!
We were on a family vacation from Albuquerque. Having lived in Italy we are a bit picky when it comes to Italian food here in the states. This restaurant is a gem. Fantastic authentic food. We ordered risotto with mushrooms, lasagna and carbonara. It was all very delicious. And the service, Mario was the best. He couldn’t help us enough. This is a must if you want excellent service and fantastic food. Highly recommend.
Everything was great, food, service and atmosphere. Went there before a concert and went back later for dessert. The only negative is when we went back later you could here the pounding beats of the music playing next door. If there was any music playing in Panevino you certainly wouldn’t have been able to hear it.
Outstanding meal and service!! Food was delicious and served promptly. Service was exceptional.
Pollo Toscano was delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we came back on our last day of vacation to eat one more time. Had a great wine list with some very nice Italian wines.
