Tried Osteria Panevino before a Broadway performance. Our waitress was very nice and worked with us to get our order in without having to rush to make our show. The food was good, not great. My chicken parm was a little dry but my salad with greens, pears, corn and a very good blood orange vinegarette dressing was delicious. Osteria is by far the best Italian Restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at (twice). Homemade pasta...the Lobster Ravioli was to die for... great selection of wine and authentic Italian servers.

Just picked a restaurant from Google for best Italian in gas lamp district and this is what came up. Food was so very very good and the servers were all so friendly dry and helpful. We loved the food and would definitely return!
Great service! Excellent food and wine choices. Bread, appetizers, everything was fresh and delicious! Noise level was a bit high to me but we were seated near the door. Overall great option!
This is one of our first choices for San Diego restaurants in Little Italy for authentic Italian food each year when visiting. The service is excellent and accommodated our large group easily. We plan to return again next year!
Unusual to find an Italian Reataurant with good Gluten Free pasta. The gluten free penne pasta was incredible! The waiters were very attentive and the portion sizes are huge!
