Overall just ok came in a little before 8pm. Food was ok stay away from the pizza go with the pasta. There’s a table right by the entrance to a hostel it was fun to watch the people coming in and out.
We had a party of 10 for a graduation dinner. We were first greeted by our hostess who was very kind and accommodating as we wanted to dine indoors. She also made our first round of cocktails, which were perfect and delicious. Then our server was Maria who was just outstanding. She was so attentive and anticipated our needs for our dining experience. It was a beautiful experience and we will definitely be going back for the Raspberry Passion drink, the bread and butter, the appetizers and the Gnocchi Cacio e Pepe. So delicio... read more
Food was amazing and our waiter was great! We had the Cacio e Pepe Gnocchi. It was perfection. Little loud when we walked in at peak time but it quieted down towards the end.
Great food, service & would come again. Great place for any occasion
Loved it!!! The food is amazing quality. Real Italian cuisine. Beautiful place, lovely atmosphere romantic vibes.
Amazing food and service! Will definitely return next time we are in SD
Overall we enjoyed our meals and good service, little waiting, however no refills of water. Sicilian chicken favorite of the entrees, as the meats and cheese appetizer. Gnocchi a bit gummy, and heavy sauce in squd ink pasta. Overall would go back, pizza looked good from afar!
Our new go to restaurant downtown. Excellent service. Fantastic food. Great ambiance. If you’re going to a concert at Balboa theater, this is the place
Went here before a concert due primarily to the closeness to the concert. I had the Cioppino and it was very good. My favorite Cioppino is from Tadich Grill in San Francisco, so I'm always trying to find another one that measures up. This was close. Wife had the tortellini and is was OK, and a little boring. Wine list is not unreasonable and there are some bottles in the $50 neighbor on up. Service was just fine. All in all might go back, but would probable try some other downtown gas lamp restaurants first.
