Palmetto Dunes does not care about the customer. 10 days out from our booking on a condo we booked nearly 10 months ago they canceled my reservation due to a home renovation. They offered no comparable units with beach access, bedrooms, or heated pool. They offered me a refund or a condo miles from the beach. They did not offer me additional compensation, additional resources or any help. They clearly do not have empathy or try and offer compassion in helping the customer. Hello William. To better explain things, Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort manages privately owned residences that are ultimately controlled by the owners. When these owners have to have repairs completed it's typically not planned, but required at the time, hence having to cancel/move any existing reservations. This resort is INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING. we had to bring a very small trailer the night when checking in. The gated security guard did not give guidance where or how to park. We carefully backed in our car and trailer to a spot near our property. The next morning was the soonest we could turn in the mini trailer. So at 11pm that night a "security guard" left what was called a "citation" for $100 due to improper storage despite it NOT being stored...and no legal ability to write citations. As the resort, we certainly apologize for the inconveniences caused by security during your stay, but wanted you to be aware that security and the rules within the resort are all controlled by the Property Owner's Association, which is separate than us. We had a group of 8 stay at a wonderful home in Palmetto Dunes 10/3/24 through 10/6/24. The house was outstanding top to bottom and had everything our group needed to make it a home away from home. We played all 3 golf courses. Courses were in great shape and the staff from check in to the cart attendants were helpful and pleasant. The clubhouses offered a great selection of food options as well. Only complaint, we didn't stay longer. Will definitely be back to Palmetto Dunes soon. David Smith Greer, SC

Stayed on the property in a beautiful home and played all 3 courses (Fazio, Robert Trent Jones, Arthur Hills) this past weekend. This place has to be the gem of the island. Beautiful tree lined streets and an awesome beach. Will be my go too when visiting Hilton Head.

Just an update to the reply, if the complex is part of palmetto dunes whether or not the unit is managed by a rental company does not matter. There is a parking problem with every parking spot in queens grant not assigned. Is the rental company supposed to come in and start assigning them?? At least take accountability for the lack of parking. It's an obvious issue and starts with palmetto dunes.

Hello Salma. I am not sure which rental company you are booked through, but you may want to reach out to them and explain your frustrations. Palmetto Dunes is made of many individual complexes, which are governed by separate regimes, so to point out the resort as a whole is not really accurate. Also, you can notify the Palmetto Dunes Property Owner's Association, as they govern most of the resort and provide the security throughout. Rented Beach Villa 14 for a week in late August. Plenty of space to spread out for family of 4. Electrical outlets are loose & need updating as plugs fall out of the outlets when you try to plug something into them. Very frustrating given the need for charging multiple devices per person. Also, hot tub was out of order, and it appears it has been for some time. Close to beach, pool & pickleball.

Fabulous weekend or week long getaway. Didn't want to leave. Close to the beach, and resturants. Fabulous pool and amenties. Within driving distance from many shops and activities. 5/5

We stayed at 7805 Centre Court. Our condo was very nice, spacious, and had enough room for everyone to spread out. We arrived after midnight and the front desk team had our check-in package in a locked box as expected. We didn't spend time in the condo due to a golf trip. I would return for another golf trip. I recommend downloading the hospitality app. It's useful.
