Process was easy and quick. My loan was with Penny Mac to begin with which made the refinance process very easy.
The closing time changed a few times and the document originally given with the closing date didnt match what I was told over the phone. I emailed and called the day prior closing to 100% verify the closing time. I was told it was the same time, but I felt like there wasn't much effort put in to actually verifying everyone was on the same page. I waited and no one showed up at the time I had verified the day before. I DO NOT want this publicly posted. All parties should inform of any changes
Understand that no one really recommends things like this to others.
I've been a PenneyMac customer for a few years and have never had any issues. My refi went off quickly with no problems. I only had to speak to 2 of my team and any questions were answered accurately and promptly. Saving $400 a month is huge. Time for a new car.
My loan officer changed during this process and information that I was provided at the beginning did not hold true throughout the process. Though Ms. Wiley was attentive, I was so very disappointment with misinformation, no-show morning of original closing, miscommunication about dual closing, inaccurate loan documents, and inconsistency in explanation about escrow account

From the very first call I received to the document signing at closing, I truly felt like I had a team of experts assisting me along the way. In particular, both Carol Dion and Paulette Wiley were exceptional at helping me understand the process and giving me instructions on what to expect and what to do when I needed to take action. What impressed me most was that Carol made me feel like a person and not just a number when we first talked and Paulette continued that through the whole process.
We were told, by the closing lawyer, 30 minutes before she arrived that we needed to have a witness at the house. It would have been great if we had more time to find a witness. Everything else connected to the loan process was flawless.
