This place isn't all bad, but what is bad outweighs the good. Lets start things out on a positive note. A couple of the Medicine Nurses are awesome, Jessica and Cindy rock! The others aren't bad, they just didn't leave to much of an impression on me. The CNA Zach is awesome to. All the other CNAs had good days and bad days (more on this later). If I could give this place negative stars I would. Many of the staff were rude and disrespectful to my mom. She rang for assistance in getting to the bedside commode during the night, waited for 30 or more minutes, then tried to get herself onto the commode and fell. She was left sitting on the commode for over an hour another day. The commode was left unemptied for several hours on more than one occasion. She had to wait for 45 minutes or longer several times for her medications. She was not even offered a shower or bed bat... read more

While the staff seem professional, the facility is old and run down. They do not even have AC. My wife was lucking since she got room with a bathroom. Parking is very very limited. The bed and wheelchair supplied for my wife (she broke her leg) were clearly old and should have been updated. Even the TV remote was not working correctly. My Grandma and Grandpa were in this place for a bit. During the day it all seem normal, I visited them at 11PM, and I found out that my grandparents trying to sleep, while night sitter, sits in between them and eats, while TV is on and loud.. I made a comment and asked night nurse to take care of situation, and when I visit next night same thing was on! I give this facility 0 stars. Within 24 hrs my mother was sent back to the ER. Upon arrival to the facility, it looked ok. Several hours later, no one had stopped by to even bring her a pitcher of ice water. If it wasn't for me being prepared with water bottles, who knows how long my mother would have gone without something to drink. On top of that, the room was riddled with ants. I reviewed based on my initial visit and the facility looked ok, but after a 3 day stay my mom ended up back in the ER and we found out she did not get the injectable medication she was prescribed. Before transferring there, I was assured that Peninsula Post Acute had 2 days of the medication because her pharmacy had to mail the Rx to her. I cannot recommend Peninsula Post Acute to anyone, they allowed to many important things to slip by.

UPDATE - 01/2017: I am increasing my rating by 2-stars for the care shown to my mom by the other nurses. Her original nurse was banned from assisting her, and the replacements were much better. Jojo was one of her favorite nurse's assitants. The woman in charge of activities was also very kind. ORIGINAL REVIEW - 12/2016: I find it odd that there are two listings for this facility--one with ONE star and one with FIVE stars. The review with ONE star is now "closed".
