Where to begin. When my aunt was first admitted to Mills Hospital, I went to go visit all the rehab facilities in the Burlingame, Millbrae, San Bruno/Pacifica area. My first impression of Peninsula Post-Acute. It's noisy, lots of busy bodies in the hallway, a lot of action and hustle. I inevitably decided on Post-Acute after the vascular doctor and nurse told me they would be able to visit my aunt at this facility and would have more eyes on her. Wasn't that the truth. The staff here went far and beyond the call of duty of ... read more

The whole staff that works there is very sweet and kind always asking if we needed anything and helpful, takes not only good care of my grandma but our family even me when staying with her, its nice that they have activities there as well and includes the patients family to join in. This is where my grandpa stayed at before and only place my grandma will come to if she has to be in the rehab/nursing facility, they keep the place clean too. Everyone shares the same positive vibe for each other. Their always making sure that ... read more

Although my dad has only been at the facility for a couple of days, I'm extremely pleased thus far. My dad had previously been admitted to a different facility straight out of the hospital. It was so sub-standard that my mom checked him out after only one day. It was extremely urgent for us to find another facility that would be appropriate for my dad. After touring Peninsula Post-Acute, we felt this would be a very good place for my dad to get the treatment and support he needed. Brooke in Admissions was very informative ... read more

My father has been in and out of many skilled nursing facilities over the past 10 years. Peninsula is EXTRAORDINARY! They are under new ownership and it shows. The level of care my father received was amazing. It literally brought tears to eyes watching Magda take care of my dad after he had an accident in the bed late at night. He was crying, ashamed and embarrassed. She handled the situation with such grace and reassured my father that everything was ok and thus keeping his dignity intact. Ron arrives in the mornin... read more

If you can avoid sending your family member here, please do. This facility is so understaffed that the people who work here do not have enough time to provide the level of care patients deserve. Unless you are here to constantly advocate for your loved one, they will not receive a basic level of care. We sit here with my mother constantly asking for me and still wait sometimes an hour for her needs to be addressed. I feel badly for the patients first but also the staff because they are so incredibly overworked it is unfair t... read more

You need to get in and out of this place as quickly as possible. If you have a loved one, make sure you check in at random times and be as involved as possible so the staff does not mistreat them. The staff seems to be unaware what they signed up for, they all seem uninterested in their jobs and lacking compassion for patients. Unorganized and poorly cleaned throughout the whole facility.

Business response:

Hi, Constance. We are sorry to hear that we didn’t meet your expectation. We have very high expectations at Peninsula Post-Acute and would love the opportunity to improve. Please get in touch with us at (415)-939-8640. - Chello Jobli Director of Business Development

Don't. Believe a word of these reviews. This place is awful! It looks nothing like those pictures. It's a mess with crap everywhere. Sure, Some of the nurses are very nice, but I wouldn't want my loved one to ever come back to this place. The patients aren't getting the care and attention they need or deserve. Some of them are lucky if they get out of bed. Only to sit in the hallway for hours. They're all lined up in the hallway like cattle waiting for slaughter. Disgusting! I felt so sad and depressed after being in this ... read more

Patient sent home with some staff stating "unsafe discharge". Ants around the bed stand and on the bed. Medical wheel chair ordered, and not received at home, this is day 3 from when PPAC Ordered for him. Patient needs assistance for personal hygene. Patient had hip and leg surgery and and requires assistance to manipulate the Walker which he has only 50% weight-bearing on the surgery leg.
